The NCN wishes to enhance public access to information about the Nature Connection Network and nature connection and it maintains this site for informational purposes, and for NCN members to access and share resources.

The content on our site is not intended to amount to advice on which you should rely. You must obtain professional or specialist advice before taking, or refraining from, any action on the basis of the content on our site.

Although we make reasonable efforts to update the information on our site, we make no representations, warranties or guarantees, whether express or implied, that the content on our site is accurate, complete or up to date. Let us know if you find anything that is wrong.

We are the owner or the licensee of all intellectual property rights in the public part of our site, and in the material published on it, unless otherwise indicated. Those works are protected by copyright laws and treaties around the world. All such rights are reserved.

Ways of working for Network Members

A collaborative approach:

The network is just that, a forum to bring people working towards nature connection together to support and further each other’s work. The NCN aims to provide members the opportunity to build relationships and coalitions they are responsible for in order to help members work towards the vision of a happier and more fulfilled society with a thriving natural environment, forged through closer relationships with nature.

By members, for members:

As far as practicable, networking opportunities will be run by members, for members, such that meetings, workshops, and sharing are facilitated by the members.

Commitment to evidence-based practices:

All activities, initiatives, and recommendations shall be rooted in evidence and research on nature connection. This ensures that our work remains focussed, credible, and impactful.

Content that you upload to our site

Where you have entered into an agreement with NCN which permits the uploading of materials for inclusion in our site (e.g. through creating a listing for your business or activity, further details of which can be found here), you must comply with the content standards set out below in addition to the terms of your agreement.

Materials uploaded for inclusion in our site must:

Be accurate (where it states facts);
Be genuinely held (where it states opinions); and
Comply with the law applicable in England and Wales and in any country from which it is posted.

Materials uploaded for inclusion in our site must not:

Be defamatory of any person;
Be obscene, offensive, hateful, inflammatory, threatening, abuse or invade another's privacy, or cause annoyance, inconvenience or needless anxiety;
Be likely to harass, upset, embarrass, alarm or annoy any other person.
Promote sexually explicit material, violence, discrimination based on race, sex, religion, nationality, disability, sexual orientation or age, or any illegal activity;
Infringe any copyright, database right, trade mark or other intellectual property rights of any other person.
Breach any legal duty owed to a third party, such as a contractual duty or a duty of confidence.
Be likely to deceive any person.
Be in contempt of court.
Impersonate any person, or misrepresent your identity or affiliation with any person.
Give the impression that the material emanates from your organisation, if this is not the case.
Advocate, promote, incite any party to commit, or assist any unlawful or criminal act such as (by way of example only) copyright infringement or computer misuse.
Contain a statement which you know or believe, or have reasonable grounds for believing, that members of the public to whom the statement is, or is to be, published are likely to understand as a direct or indirect encouragement or other inducement to the commission, preparation or instigation of acts of terrorism.
Contain any advertising or promote any services or web links to other sites other than those permitted under the terms of your agreement with NFC.

You warrant that any materials supplied by you comply with the above content standards, and you will be liable to us and indemnify us for any breach of that warranty. This means you will be responsible for any loss or damage we suffer as a result of your breach of warranty.

You agree and acknowledge that we will not be obliged to accept or include on our site any materials which do not comply with the above content standards or which we reasonably consider should not be included on our site.

Any content you upload to our site will be considered non-confidential and non-proprietary. You retain all of your ownership rights in your content, but you are required to grant NCN and other users of our site a limited licence to use, store and copy that content. Distribution of your material to third parties will only be allowable by members sekeing permission from you. The rights you license to us are described in your agreement with us.

We also have the right to disclose your identity to any third party who is claiming that any content posted or uploaded by you to our site constitutes a violation of their intellectual property rights, or of their right to privacy.

We encourage you linking directly to the information on the public part of our site. However we do ask that you comply with the rules set out below:

You may link to any content on the public part of our site, provided you do so in a way that is fair and legal and does not damage our reputation or take advantage of it.

You must not establish a link in such a way as to suggest any form of association, approval or endorsement on our part where none exists.

You must not establish a link to our site in any website that is not owned by you.

Our site must not be framed on any other site.

We reserve the right to withdraw linking permission without notice.
